FAMILY TREASURES...

..take up quite a bit of my noggin' lately.  While there is a beauty all around at this time of year, there is also the juxtaposition of a lingering sadness of missing and longing of summer, of time spent in the garden and with G-d's family of trees, birds, flowers and bees - the devas that I have come to know as my family away from my family.  This card is therefore dedicated to the natural beauties that are going to sleep for the winter.  This card is also dedicated to my 3 cubs (a.k.a. - children.) Each cub is represented by their own flower at the bottom of my card, but connected with a ribbon.  The two boys are positioned on the outside edges, like bookends, with my daughter in the middle.  Hmmm, that seems right!  All chicklettes are connected as One, as is the continuum of life, symbolized with the grosgrain ribbon. They, my 4 season beauties, are the real flowers that never stop blooming!   SQUISHY HUGS.

  2. Family treasures, how sweet it is...
We all long for the warmth and freedom of summer. How lovely of you to tenderly tuck the birds, the flowers, the trees and the bees in for the winter.
A blue jay came and perched on the porch just outside the window this morning, perhaps the sturdy winged creature was saying adieu till the spring.
I love the fresh simplicity of the inside of your card; the outside is a tad busy for my liking yet truly expresses the fullness of your family ties both with nature and your children. xo
