Gentle Warning
This Minister is in the Pulpit today.
If you aren't up to it - pass by the words
and just take a wee peek at the
Art. I shall not be offended.

SPECIAL - at first look one thinks of "what is special in this present moment" and takes a look around, what is happening in one's life, what is about to happen.
But what about what "has" happened, who "has" happened, where "has" happened, that we still cherish in the present moment, with Gratitude and Grace.
And that SPECIAL "Remember When" memory fuels us, gives us energy and strength and allows us to conquer the World in a way that we would not if we "shelved" it, "forgot" it, "let it go" as so many people encourage one to do about person's, places and things that walked out of our lives - especially those person, places and things that took an exit right.
But why?
Are we not capable of going to the Positive, are we not capable of transmuting anger, abandonment, rejection into that ever expanding, all mysterious, never quite understanding concept called LOVE?
I know we can.
So I encourage you to take a look at those "creeps", bastards, assholes, trash buckets, dysfunctional relationships or upbringing, that abusive school or teacher or ugly clothes you were forced to wear or the $5.00 you were given for allowance by an ex-husband a week (my first husband) those "horrible places you've been to or lived, those scary alleys, stairways, closets and those ghastly things that have surrounded you, found you or been in your possession - and open your heart and let them wiggle their way to that CENTRE where all your yummy LOVE is held, to that place where all your delicious and sensuous BEINGNESS is held, to that place where the purest of ESSENCE called "YOU" is held.
Because to do otherwise is
"just not worth it!"
My Art is not about death or grief about a loved one - that is easy to do the above.
My Art is about all the YUK stuff we hold onto that deserves to be loved, accepted and embraced. All the Shadow parts of US, not the "thems." After all, who is holding onto it in a place of negative, done unto, distain, shrinking, or arrogant, rude, entitled, always right, in your face...but suffering silently deep inside with a tiny...
i am
Wouldn't it be true living...
Wouldn't it be true living...
How lovely to turn those two words around by simple acceptance into the most LOVING and positive statement about what we all hold inside and not resent it and be able to shout from the treetops....capital....and a full sentence...
I AM!!!!
I hope you enjoy my take on SPECIAL
and remember
the prize from Stitchy Bear is
HAPPY LOVING SUNDAY

ReplyDeleteGorgeous creation and I just loved your essay! As hard as some things are to live through, each thing brings us to who we are and so should be cherished, but let go. Maggie - DT
ReplyDeleteAwesome Samara and great words - what is it I say - take a negative and make it a positive. Not sure I can say take the 'bad' to a place where it is loved, but I can take it to a place where it is 'accepted' as part of the bigger picture and is part of what has made me who I am with the lessons learnt not to treat others in the way my past experience taught me :) And, yep, I know you know where I am coming from hahahaha. Totally adore this creation, so vibrant and positive, a truly beautiful interpretation of the challenge theme :) Big hugs, Mimi xxxxx
