Challenge #90: Lets get Sentimental
Welcome to another Sentimental Sunday!
Thanks so much to everyone who played along in last week's "Shaped" card challenge. We really enjoyed seeing all your entries! There are always so many - which is a wonderful sign. It was a lot of fun to create the card myself for the inspirational card with the other Designers on the team.
Be sure to stop back to the SENTIMENTAL SUNDAYS CHALLENGE BLOG on Tuesday and see who our random winner is and who has been chosen to be in our Top 3!
Whimsy Stamps is a family owned business and online store located in the United States. They carry a line of whimsical and fun rubber stamps made from deeply etched red rubber and mounted on EZ mount foam. They also have a digital stamp collection with new releases on the 1st of each month. They have recently added an online gallery for our DT and registered users where you can find lots of samples using our stamps. They also have an inspirations blog with daily postings and product info and their featured stamper Saturdays!
So, on to this week's challenge
Lets get SENTIMENTAL
(be sure to focus on your sentiment)
For my card,
I made a card for my Dad who had a massive stroke and is in critical condition. It was my way of dealing with the entire situation of his being a strapping outdoors man to a man who recognizes no one, can't walk and wants to eat nothing.
This card was very cathartic as I, nor my 3 children have seen him; people seeing him who know him agitates him.
So this card is my way of saying
"thanks Dad"
God knows the rest.
PLEASE click on the card.
MY SENTIMENT WAS THE POINT OF THE CARD!
The rest worked it's way around the sentiment.
Thanks for honoring my dad this way.
How true is this statement, for all of us!
