I am learning that cooking is an act of love - an act of connecting with G-d. As part of my studies, I am learning the importance of 'exchange.' This includes the exchange of money, the exchange of food and the exchange of our energy.
So, as far as my own cooking for my son and I -
I am consciously thinking of the earth, the people who picked the grains (we are veggies, as you heard from my previous post,) the driver's of the trucks who take those grains from the fields to the refineries and on and on until it gets into my hands and then onto the plate.
I have found myself becoming much more complimentary to the staff at the grocery stores who handle the food all the way to praying over my food before I eat it. This card is dedicated to that process. Amen.
