PRIZE: January 5 Image Pack
Flourishes are my favourite of the abstracts. Whether they are in stencils, stamps, digis or doodles. When I saw this at Kaz Krafts, it was a sure bet.
You can find Kaz Krafts through Stitchy's, along with some other great artists.
Get your PURPLE ON and I'll see you there!
My mommy gave me some of the flowers she and her sister used in their crafts when in Florida, when they entered Craft Fairs - actually boxes and boxes of them. I've been having lots of fun putting them to use. If you have issues attaching plastic stems to any of your acrylic work, the best product I have found is the silver shiny furnace tape. Almost impossible to remove!
I've used a combo of chalks, and copics. Very fun to go over the chalks with the copics and discover the colors they become. I have also used those things that I had as a child - those blow pens. They are great for spitter spattering color all over! And very economical too.
Oh, did I tell you I want a Spirograph?
I edged the paper with washi, after I ran light purple Stampin' Up! paper through the copier (with the image printing on it.) From that point, I had to use my purple dollar store 3 D gorgeous flutterbyes. They come in teal (like the color I just dyed a strand of my hair lol) and purple. I am in love with them and fortunately they fit the challenge, Anything Goes with Purple. And of course, the flourish digi is from Kaz Krafts found over at Stitchy's Crib.
I am setting up most of my art these days on acrylic frames, "just because I can." They are a really nice way to show off what has been made as I am not a fan of making cards (they seem to just go under the shelf in one of those ginormous containers you get at Walmart for Crimbo - thanks Ike for that great word - decorations) so I have taken to putting my art upwards where I can enjoy it for a while, then disassemble it and recycle the bits and pieces for future projects.
This is what a not "know a gazillion peeps" or "have a gazillion dollars" person figures out to do after crafting and making cards and shit for 25 years!!!

OOOOOOOOO totally awesome and gorgeous, love the idea of the flowers and you re like me - re the tape. I now use window draft exclusion tape instead of craft foam tape on my creations, so much cheaper and a zillion times stronger :) :) :) What an awesome way to enjoy your artwork - I love making cards but you are right, there comes a time when they just sit waiting for a home instead of being enjoyed :) :) Big hugs Meems xxxxxx
