Very Creepy!

This was one heck of a project for me.
This little whipper snapper of a spider was soooo ugly and terrifying to me I can not for the life of me figure out why I chose him...other than to....
GROW, LEARN, TRANSFORM!
and
TO MEET MY NEW FRIEND
"Jane's Spider"

I decided to approach my fear of this guy by going vewy vewy slowly.  One creation at a time.  Eassssse into using the full kit, papers and spider from Coosty Creations.

So first, things I am comfortable with...
Mixed media
Color
Paint
Trinkets

something a little softer
Mr. Scarey Ass Spider still wasn't warming up to me nor me to him.

AHHHHH!
I see something emerging
something kinda cute
maybe not a he
maybe a mommy
with a helmet
riding a comet
with her baby spidey's on her back
ahhhh and pink chompers (NOT fangs!!!) shhhhh

I am going to name spidey
"Jane's Spider"
feeling better already!

Introducing the most funky Spider
this side of the cosmos

  2. Oh Samara, each and every creation is just fabulous, from the ease me in gently single colour to the very funky multi coloured spider - yep Jane's Spider lol (get my hair done in 3 weeks with coloured extensions, think blue and purple/pink this year so although I would be a colourful as your fabulous creation I will look fine with IT sitting on my shoulder lol) . Oh I have felt so bad for you choosing the spider, not my fav creature but thank you for holding your breath, gritting your teeth, holding your hands steady and creating such wonderful artwork along with the cracking good story to go with them. Big hugs Jane xxxxxx

  3. I love the psychedelic spider! It sounds kind of like you've employed the Harry Potter/boggart idea to make the spider less scary, and as a result you've made something wonderful!

  5. Wowzers! Some fabulous cards there. I hate spiders and bugs, so I don't think I could have done anything with that guy. You stepped up to the challenge and did fabulous! Maggie, DT Teamie
