DELIGHTFUL CHALLENGES

This weeks challenge over at Delightful Challenges is

Distressed/Vintage

You are not required to use a Digital Delights Image to join in on the fun but if you do you are allowed to enter the challenge TWICE.

To enter twice you when using a Digital Delight image, on your 1st entry use your card link.  On your 2nd entry use your blog address and add the words 2nd entry after your name.

**Please be sure to follow the challenge theme or your entry will will be removed, which would be the worst, given how much time, love and effort - not to mention product you have put into your entry.

So for the above reason, take a good look at the theme!

Now for my take on Distressed/Vintage, using Digital Delights Stamps Down at the Farm Set and Farmer Giles.

Enjoy!

First thing to say is that this is a perfectly flat card.  It is the placement of the paper that gives it dimension.

Isn't Digital Delights Farmer Giles the greatest!

The pattern paper and the apples in the tree are all from the co-ordinating paper pack from DD

This circle of Farmer Giles is taken off another patterned paper from the same co-ordinating pack.

Look at those eyes - aren't they to die for!  The bow is from my dog's straw.

And the bail of straw is also part of the Farm Set.

I backed the card with cardboard given to me from my Printer!  Don't forget to ask your printer for the things they throw out.  They gave me about 200 pieces 11 1/2 X 18.  It is spritzed with a variety of Tim Holtz Sprays.  The straw again, is just obviously theaded into the card. And the paper torn and sponged with Tim's Vintage Ink.

This is a hard one.  I have the full set of copics and I must say I use most of the greens when I do green and most of the pinks when I do pink etc.  These are the MAIN colors and from there, go around these colors with your copics to de-shade and upper-shade.

For anything that is grey - dark grey - black I use a variety of all the greys to blacks - all of the differing tones blended together.

And here is the culmination of it all, once again!

Card shared with, depending if it fits this week -
please feel free to take any or all of my list for your card entries!
